Literacy coaches from Region 1 in the Upper Peninsula attended the MAISA Early Literacy Coach Quarterly professional learning hosted at the DIISD. This was a hybrid meeting with literacy coaches from all regions in Michigan. Coaches from Dickinson-Iron, Menominee, Marquette-Alger, Copper Country and Gogebic-Ontonagon attended the full day training.
It was a wonderful day of collaboration focused on assessment literacy, the importance of coaching to support students and teachers, and data collection across the state.

New Educator Training at DIISD
This week, educators in their first four years of teaching gathered at the DIISD for a powerful professional development experience. The training focused on essential topics including special education, trauma-informed instruction, preparing for parent-teacher conferences, and integrating technology in the classroom.
These sessions provided valuable tools and strategies to support student success and empower new teachers in their journey. We’re proud to invest in the growth of our educators and the future of learning in our schools!
