About Early Childhood Education
The Department of Early Childhood Education Offers:
Early On - Families with children ages 0-3 with established condition or developmental delay
Early Head Start - Expectant parents and families with infants and toddlers (ages birth to 3)
Head Start - Families with children ages 3-5 (3 by September 1st) - See "Locations" where Head Start classrooms are located!
Great Start Readiness Program - Families with children age 4 (4 by September 1st - not Kindergarten eligible) - See "Locations" where Great Start Readiness Program classrooms are located!
Great Start Collaborative - Families with children ages 0-8
Dial Screening: This developmental screening is available to all children ages 3-5 residing in Dickinson and Iron Counties. The screening takes approximately 45 minutes and includes an assessment of:
-Motor Skills (large/small muscle control)
-Concept Development
-Language Development
-Social/Emotional Well-Being
-Hearing and Vision
The screening is of no cost. Please call 779-2695 to schedule an appointment.
