1) Children will be checked periodically for signs of lice and nits.

2) If outbreak of lice occurs, children will be checked daily.

3) If lice or nits are seen, another staff person will confirm.

4) If lice or nits are confirmed, the parents will be called to come and pick up the child. A letter will be sent home with the child explaining lice treatment and that the child may return when free of nits. The parents must bring the child in for teacher to check head before the child will be allowed in class.
