In the event of a two hour delay or school closing the Intermediate School District uses the following procedures:

1) Delays and closings are reported on (WJNR FM 101.5), (WIMK FM 93.1), (WMIQ AM 1450). The Iron River area radio stations will be reported on (WIKB AM 1230) and (WIKB FM 99.1).

2) Please LISTEN TO YOUR RADIO. On a two hour delay, your son/daughter will be picked up two hours later than the normal time. (Example, a 7:30 a.m. pick up will be at 9:30 a.m.), with classes ending at the regular scheduled time. Please continue listening to the radio, as a two hour delay may eventually result in a cancellation.

3) If a local district cancels school, our ISD Programs which are located in that school district will also be canceled.

4) When listening to the radio, classes will be referred to by the Program Name and Location. For example:

HEADSTART AT THE WILLIS CENTER
MI SCHOOL READINESS AT THE WILLIS CENTER
HEADSTART PROGRAM AT NORTH DICKINSON
HEADSTART AT IRON RIVER CENTER

With winter driving please allow extra time when watching for your child's bus, both at pick up and drop off times.
